When I removed the old 63 gallon tank from my 85 outrage there was a protective mat and rubber liner which the tank rested on. The original mat and rubber liner were damaged removing the old tank.
Iím now ready to install a new tank but I've have been unable to locate a similar protective mat and rubber liner. Iíve checked west marine and they had no clue what to use. Any suggestions?

Thanks! The use of a rubber truck bed floor liner makes good sense.

A local ship builder suggested to use straps of weather stripping then foam under it as well. Plan to complete the insertion of the tank next weekend if weather allows. Will keep you posted. Next is repairing the floor board. I'm in proces of re wireing now..Then, the teak!
