does anyboy konw where I can get a norman post. The local Boston Whaler distributor was not much help.

That's norman pin. You can get one from (among others) Twin Cities Marine . Talk to Sue, the parts manager. She was always very nice and helpful when I talked with her. I am sure you can get a norman pin from her, though it will likely be chrome plated and not the raw bronze finish of the early (c. 1960-1980) norman pins.

If its anything like mine, the crome will flake off in a few years, and you can polish the brass underneath.
