I'm looking around for seat cushion options. BoatUS looks like they have white closed cell cockpit cushions (12"x52") that might work for me. Wondering what other options there are?

we had the same problem, serveal years ago when pa. quit the use of sit on life cusions as leagal perservers. My wife sewed naugahyde covers to hold two "board type lifeperservers to each seat and filled the voids with closed cell foam. held to the underside with snaps, they are comfortable to sit on, easy to find and readly accessible. when we go out on big water we carry or wear better perservers. joe

You might just want to buy some closed-cell foam and cut out your own. If appearance isn't an issue the foam won't need covering.
A local upolstery shop may carry suitable foam, or you can do a Web search. There are a few places that sell it mail order.

If varnish is not good on the benches the moisture that the cushions trap will lift it.....just FYI!

It looks to me that two of the cushions from a 48 quart igloo marine cooler could be a fairly inexpensive solution to your problem. They are 25 3/8" in length by 14 3/4" wide each. You should be able to pick them up for around $25 to $30 each.
