Last Friday we painted the Nauset with Imron. The humidity and temperature were both very high. The paint job had several runs and a few sags.
I went back to look the boat over early Saturday a.m.. It was still dark, so I touched the boat and felt that it was to wet to sand. There was very little light and since I wasn't going to work on the boat, I didn't turn the shop lights on.
I returned early Sunday a.m. and did the same thing and the paint was still not dry. However, I turned on the lights and much to my suprise most of the runs were gone along with all of the sags. The boat looks great compared to when we left it Friday.
Did the humidity help the paint flatten out? I have never seen this before. Have you?

A car body shop guy told me one time that sunlight and the heat from it will flatten out paint while it is drying/curing. If it was sunny all day on Saturday this probably helped your runs go away.
