I'm repowering my 16/17 classic with a 90hp 2 stroke, but which one Johnson,Yamaha,or,Mercury..Is one better than the other...Would like to get as much feedback as possible to help make a decision, Thanks

Many people have been thinking along the same lines...

If you intend on keeping the boat and want a 2 Stroke, I would suggest an Evinrude E-TEC 90 HP 2 Stroke. EPA rates as high or higher then the 4 Strokes. Even though it is not a proven engine, the warranty is impressive.. Weight 305 lbs.

If you don't intend on keeping the boat, then I would suggest the cheapest 90 HP 2 Stroke you can find...

Keep in mind the weight of the engine you choose.... The weights are listed on the link above....

There are other postings of people that have already purchased the Evinrude E-TEC 90 HP and they are satisfied with the performance.. Check out those threads also...
