I am restoring a Nauset and would like to pull new wires for the bow and stern lights. I have gently tugged on the existing wires and found them to be very snug. I am concerned that if I pull too hard they could break and I would be in big trouble. Any suggestions?

If you can get some soapy water down there it will help. Also try tugging alternatively from each end a little.

If you take them out pull an extra wire thru as you pull out the old. Leave that wire in as a future 'pull' wire and when you use that one put in another so you can always add more rigging/wires for other acessories.

There is a special lubricant for pulling wires...electrical supply? Soap will work though.

See the FAQ.

The wires are embedded in the foam interior of the hull. You cannot pull them out or pull in new ones.
