I have a Garmin 140 Fishfinder that I want to connect to my laptop to record the water depths for bathymetric survey.
I have the software already but I need to know which pins on the 140 are the pins that output the data.

I cannot find anyway to send email to the Garmin support people to ask this question direct.

Many Thanks

Put the mouse on support.
Click Contact Support
Under "E-mail Product Support", click "Product Support"

Note, it may not HAVE a serial output.

Check out this website:

A couple of years ago, I made a cable to connect a Garmin GPS 76 to a computer serial port using a pfranc plug. If I didn't find the pin assignment on the above website, then I found them on the Garmin site. Poke around and you will find what you need.
