I'd like to put a kill switch in my 13.5 BW with 1978 Johnson 35 HP to avoid "unintended departure" from the vessel. I am uncertain where to tap into the wiring. The command center doesn't offer a lot of space or easy access and the wiring is nicely sealed...suggestions? experience? Thank you! Two pics:

It may be easier and more effective for you to replace the ignition switch with a new switch designed to use a lanyard that pulls free of the switch thus turning off the ignition.

Have you ever considered that an Evinrude dealer would probably have the correct switch in stock for you?
