Although I'm an RI resident only four weeks a year, I've been summering in Wakefield, RI since I was born. In 1938 my millworker grandfather bought a waterfront lot on Point Judith Pond for $700! Oh, how glad I am. I am restoring a 1969 Nauset, but don't expect to get it on the water until next summer. There are a number of nice classic whalers in the Point Judith area. Fishing is great.

Hello, gansett Idock my boat in Barrington. This is my first season in the area. There must be 15 to 20 Whalers at mine and two others nearby. From some beutiful classics, to beutiful brand spenkin new wave chompers. Took the boat out today first time for my 2 year old daughter. Not along ride but I think she's hooked. Just need a good teather to keep her in the boat. Tanks for the reply and good luck on the boat. cc

I grew up in Barrington; not too far from Stanleys. We lived on the Palmer River.

I live in St. Paul now.
