Planning sometime in the next 12-18 months to take my new-to-me OutrageII 17 up to Seattle from the Bay area to spend a couple of weeks exploring Puget Sound and Lake Washington. I don't own a trailer, so I'm looking for suggestions on getting the boat up there. If this was the East Coast, it would be a simple trip up the Intracoastal.

Should I:

a) Buy a trailer, rent a pickup, and drive it up?
b) Find someone to truck/ship it?
c) Just rent a frickin boat up there?

You are doing this in a year or a year and a half from now? Worry about it next year or start looking for a nice used trailer. Puget sound might not be there by then.

a) - Final answer
Come up in July/Aug/Sept. Plan most of your time in Puget Sound. I'm sure the local whaler chapter would arrange for a Hales rendezvous while you're here.
