I don't know of any members that live on San Juan Island. Sure looks nice there today. 52 with 7 mph breeze...

I wish I were going to be in the San Juans on the 16th and 17th, especially if the weather is as nice as it is right now (it hit 60 degrees yesterday here in Seattle!)

I know you are on a tight schedule and probably cannot stop in Seattle on the way up for lunch or dinner, but if you find time...

Thanks for the offer. I think we'll wave as we drive by!

Jim, if you have some time, drive around the island to Roche Harbor. Great boat browsing, beautiful setting and the meals in the historic dining room are terrific. Nancy and I used it as a launching port during our kayak tour of the San Jaun Islands a few years ago. I've been dreaming of getting back there ever since.

Reporting to you from Friday Harbor ... weather here is cool with scattered showers. And we love it. We've seen a few 'sun breaks' that have thrilled us. Yesterday the wind was from the south and reportedly gusted to 40 to 50 mph with intermittent showers, but we've been in a pretty sheltered spot ... inside our car driving around.

Have seen a few of the 13 foot classic Whalers around, but not many bigger ones.

We drove up to Roche Harbor ... and it certainly looked picturesque if a bit chilly. I was out of the car for only a few minutes.

I'm pleased to report that we have accomplished our goal ... shaking out all the Silicon Valley tenseness from our shoulders. Mission accomplished!
