Do you mean ICW (Intracoastal Waterway)?

I believe there is a photo in Cetecea of a big Whaler at a slip in Florida just before the owner (BigZ?) took it up may want to check there and see if an e-mail exists for that person and give them a shout.

Kevin Vanacore went from Norfolk, VA to Edgewater, FL in 1998. That's 1000 miles and he did it in just five days. That was in a 17-foot Whaler Alert. I can fax you more information.

By the way, this was Vanacore's 27th Whaler. It is interesting to me that he decided to use the Alert for this trip rather than a Montauk or other center console Whaler.

How soon we forget!

Back in th early 80's I believe a pair of 22's set a new outboard record from Miami to NY.

This came up before. Also in the early eighties (I think) there was a story about two guys that crossed the Gulf from Forida to Mexico in a Whaler. I think it was a Montauk or 18 Outrage. The deck was covered with extra red fuel tanks and coolers for storage.
