Interested in a trip to [Jeffrey's Ledge] this summer? I'd love to get a few boats together and head out and try to hook some sharks or even a tuna, weather permitting.

YES! I don't own any tuna gear yet, but do plan on getting farther offshore this year. I launch in the Merrimack. [Let us] keep in touch.

[I]'ve got a rod that would work for shark and a couple for football tuna. [I][']m not really interested in bottom fishing but [I] like the idea of playing with a shark! [W]e also launch in the [M]errimack. What do you have for a boat?

Mine is a Revenge 25 with twin smokers, vintage 1986. We mostly fish for stripers and blues either in the river or outside. In the spring we chase mackerel around to fill the freezer. I'd be up for some shark or tuna fishing and also plan to learn the bottom fishing routine farther out. My email is in my profile if you want to make arraignments offline.

newt - we love filling the freezer in the spring ..lots of fun. we mainly fish for stripers in deeper water away from the river. we dont hook as many fish but they are usually much bigger than the river.usually 34 - 44 inchers. less of a headache than dealing with some of the crazies in the river.
we have a 2010 montauk 170. normally fish the week days. but im sure the wife will let me get away on a weekend if the weater is right for a run offshore! i'd feel much better heading out with a 25 footer nearby!
