We will be in the San Diego area late September and are hoping to organize a rendevous.

Preferably, this would be held in the San Diego bay, where there is access to dining, etc. (We could go to Mission bay, if smaller boats wish to join us.) San Diego bay is best suited to Montauks and larger boats. It does get quite choppy in there if the wind picks up or there is large and heavy traffic.

We could tie off over in Glorietta bay, a small beach off of Coronado. The date(s) most convenient are: Sat. 9/25 or Sun. 9/26.

If you are interested, please respond with your availability, projected number of attendees on your rig, boat size.

In my opinion, this is the nicest time of year out on the water in San Diego-tourists are gone, water is still warm, etc.

That sounds like fun, and the closest rendezvous I'm likely to find. I will start being good and building consensus right away.

Sounds good Dave. I have an email from another CW'er who has committed to the weekend, we just need to pick the date. Personally, I think Sat. is better, especially for people coming from any distance.

I would suggest that you contact "Schock Boats".

2900 Lafayette Avenue
Newport Beach, Ca. 92663
(949) 673-2050

they are the oldest Boston Whaler Dealer in the Country!
Scott and Marie Schock, the owners of "Schock Boats", are wonderful people and they helped me a great deal with the organization of my
"2007 Santa Barbara Boston Whaler Rendezvous".

I wish you all the luck with your San Diego Boston Whaler Rendezvous.

Thanks for the recommendation. The other CW'er who confirmed has bought 4 Whalers and one Grady from the Schocks.

I have to firm up a date first. Our west coast residence is in the midst of a remodel and I just found out about one major date change.

Let's start building a crowd and then we can finalize details.

I'm interested - I'm in Long Beach, south LA county, but am trailer-bound so I could likely make it down. I'm in a little restored 13', but am fairly weatherproof :)
