What is the status of the inlet at Orange Beach? I recall that it was closed during the Spring while there was fear of oil pollution.

Jim - Will not be staying near Perdido Pass, but will check it out. Last week on the Weather Channel, they did a news segment about the continuing Fort Morgan Beach oil clean up. Looks like the oil it still washing ashore.

Jim - Perdido Pass at Alabama Point was closed with a floating boom during the height of the GOM oil spill but reopened late Summer/early Fall time frame. I believe the local news reports have reflected minimal impact from residual oil in the form of weathered tar balls at several sites on Gulf front beaches as well. Most of the current spill response has focused on seperating and removing any residual oil remaining in the beach sand.
