Montauk Bimini Installation

[I am] getting ready to install a Mills Bimini on my Montauk, and [I am] wondering what to do about the railing conflict with the bimini slider. The slider runs over the top of the railings inboard anchor screw which doesn't allow the slider to be tightened all the way down. My current list of options for dealing with this include: filing down the inboard screw (making it near impossible to remove in the future); or removing the screw altogether and hoping the remaining two railing screws keep the railing in place.
Has anybody else run into this obstacle? How did you deal with it?

If I recall the screw you're talking about has a round head. I think I changed it to a flat head - stainless of course. There is a white vinyl backing on the slider bar which I knotched out over the screw head.
In addition the rear hold downs for the support bars had to be cantered a bit toward the inside for the poles to align.
