16-footer Model from Stencil Number

Postby Saintevekw » Tue May 05, 2020 2:20 pm

I have a [16-footer with] stencil number 3A3520, which I believe was a 1970 model, probably manufactured in 1969. It has a white hull and blue interior and does not have the smirk hull design.

Q1: What is the model of this boat?

Q2: What is the history of this boat?

This boat has no known registration numbers or title. I'm trying to register it. Any help is greatly appreciated.--Steve

As explained in the FAQ, the only source of information that links a Boston Whaler hull Stencil Number to a particular model is in the old records at Boston Whaler. Only they can tell what model the hull was finished off into. There is no particular need to have the Boston Whaler model designator for registration. A registration just needs the manufacturer and the boat length.

There is no public database that gives the state registration history of a Boston Whaler boat by its stencil number.

Have you read the REFERENCE section article on the 16/17 foot hull?
