Trailer Winch Post Pictures
[Seeks photographs of] the trailer winch post set up [which would be appropriate for use with a 160 DAUNTLESS boat].

There are three parameters for the location of the trailer winch:
If there are mechanical interferences that prevent getting the bow eye to be locked in position by the bow stop so it cannot rise vertically, employ a second strap to exert downward force on the bow eye. This can easily be done with a ratchet strap of suitable length that wraps around the center frame of the trailer and connects to the bow eye with one hook. The second hook connects to the eye of the first hook.
In some Boston Whaler boats using the AccuTrack hull, the bow eye can be located just under recess in the bow stem. This can prevent the possibility of pulling the bow eye onto the bow stop. For that situation, use a second strap to exert downward force.

There are three parameters for the location of the trailer winch:
- the which should be position so that when the bow eye is pulled fully into the bow stop on the winch stand, the bow eye is prevented from upward movement by the bow stop
- the pulling force of the winch strap should pull the boat onto the trailer at a perfectly level orientation or with a slight upward pull; this minimizes the vertical forces on the boat when loading
- the winch strap should be able to pull the boat straight into the bow stop and the winch strap should spool onto the winch drum without a tendency to begin to curl-over the strap onto itself.
