In model year 2002 did Boston Whaler always equip the 130 Sport boats with a two-stroke-cycle Mercury 40-HP engine with power trim and tilt? Or, did some of those 2002 model year boats come without power trim?
Re: c.2002 Mercury 40-HP
I bet if you called Boston Whaler they could answer your question.
According to the catalogue published by Boston Whaler, the standard engine on a 2002 130 SPORT was a Mercury 40 ELPTO Classic. I read that as a long-shaft two-stroke-cycle engine with power tilt and trim. The optional engines were four-stroke-cycle engines.
Why are you curious about this?

Thanks Jim. I admit, it was a strange query .
Rick, my son-in-law, unfortunately lost his Dad recently. His Dad had a 2002 130 Sport with a 40 hp 2-stroke.
Rick grabbed some old pictures and place an ad, trying to sell the boat. He called me and asked if the 40hp 2-stroke had T&T.
I had no idea, but I went to "the source" and asked the question.
Turns out it DOES have T &'T, which the first prospective buyer requires...so we're hoping all goes well when the buyer inspects the boat tomorrow.
I have only seen the boat once, off-season, on a trailer.
