SeaDek Helm Pad
[Implied question: is a SeaDek helm pad useful?]
Re: SeaDek Helm Pad
Here is a generic 1-inch-thick foam pad that could be used at a boat's helm for about one-third the price of specialty marine models:

Re: SeaDek Helm Pad
I used a pad [see hyperlink below] with my 1997 17 Outrage and my 1999 21 Outrage. The pad worked well and was comfortable to stand on, using snaps to hold it in place. My current boat rides much better so I no longer use it.

At two inches thick it may provide resilient comfort--but was it a trip hazard?porthole wrote:a pad…was comfortable to stand on…

No hazard at all.

Re: SeaDek Helm Pad
I use a SeaDek helm pad. It reduces fatigue in my legs. It also stands up well to the marine environment.
