1971 13-Footer Original Configuration

Postby thekpdmt » Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:14 pm

I saw a notice of for-sale for a 1971 13-footer with a center-mounted steering wheel somewhat like a SOURPUSS, but this boat does not have the thwart seat back rest and cross railing.

Give me your thoughts [about this boat’s original configuration].

My thoughts:

The boat is 52-years-old. To deduce exactly how it was delivered as a new boat 52-years ago is impossible.

If you like the boat and its asking price, and if the boat is in suitable condition, buy the boat.

If the price is attractive it will sell quickly.

For a Boston Whaler 13-footer to go through 52-years of use and have nothing changed is unusual.

Perhaps in 1971 a dealer could order a boat with whatever options they desired.
