Identify Model of 17-footer

Postby Virginiabeachwhale » Thu Sep 28, 2023 11:07 am

I was told my boat is a 1982 CURRITUCK 17, but I believe it is a 1982 SPORT 17.

[INFERRED REQUEST TO READERS: Please view the boat in the illustrations below and identify the model.]

DOUG--you can identify the model of your boat by carefully reading the REFERENCE section article on the 16/17-foot hull in the website's REFERENCE section at

https://continuouswave.com/whaler/refer ... odels.html

You will find an illustration of a Boston Whaler CURRITUCK 17 that just about exactly matches your boat. The nice flooring on the cockpit deck of your boat was not an OEM option, but a previous owner did a very nice job of adding it.

You can also see a CURRITUCK 16 in the CETACEA photo collection at

https://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetac ... age14.html

The CETACEA collection dates back over 20-years, and was begun at a time when "the web" was a very new technology to most people, and creating on-line-viewable digital images was a challenge for the people new to the HTML format and its ability to present in-line viewable images.

ASIDE: the forum you are participating in now is only a part of the information collected at CONTINUOUSWAVE.COM regarding Boston Whaler boats. I recommend you visit the REFERENCE section and read the many long-form, carefully researched, illustrated, comprehensive articles contained there regarding Boston Whaler boats:
