Bimini For Outrage 22' 1988

Would a Wm. J. Mills & Co. Bimini from a 1997 Outrage 24' work on an Outrage 22' 1988?

I doubt a Bimini for another model would be an exact fit on a different model. You can contact the Wm. J. Mills & Co. of Greenport, New York and ask them, inasmuch as they made canvas for both boats.

The canvas from Mills for an OUTRAGE 22 was called a FLYING TOP (small) or SUN TOP (large). The FLYING TOP is part of a WEATHER PROTECTION SYSTEM:

  • Flying Top
  • Windshield
  • Port Side Curtain
  • Starboard Side Curtain
  • Foward Shelter
  • Aft drop curtain

The SUN TOP was not integrated with other weather canvas.

It will fit if the width is correct and the height is good for your needs. Biminis are rarely built for aa single hull as the bows can expand or contract a few inces in width to accommodate mounting spots. Your hull is 7.5' wide so you need roughly a 84" wide frame +/- a couple inches. Where are you located?

Nick -

I recall Bill is out on "the island", probably within an hour of Mills.

I believe the Bimini for the 24' is about 8' 5"

Too wide, you can squeeze a couple few inches but not 18 or so.
