On a 2000 DAUNTLESS 16 the black, ribbed, rubber boot protecting the Teleflex tilt steering mechanism needs to be replaced. I called Dometic (who acquired SeaStar/Telefex) but they no longer manufacture the boot.
Give me ideas for repair or replacement.
I am looking for the black ribbed rubber boot, shown below.

Yes that is it!
Phil, you are amazing.
How were you able to locate that "Bellows Tilt Helm Cover"?

Re: Rubber Boot for Teleflex Tilt Helm Steering
I googled tilt helm boot. Skimmed the results. One result is one of my favorite suppliers, Wholesale Marine. Did a search on their site for tilt steering and there it was.
While it only took me 30 seconds, I am constantly searching for Whaler parts on a weekly basis.

Well thanks again Phil as we sincerely appreciate your efforts (and results). I saved WholesaleMarine to my Favorities, thanks for that tip as well.

Re: Rubber Boot for Teleflex Tilt Helm Steering
The search term “ teleflex tilt helm ribbed rubber boot” finds this component by just typing it into my browser destination window.
Re: Rubber Boot for Teleflex Tilt Helm Steering
I do not find the rubber boot when typing that search phrase, perhaps it is my browser.
Re: Rubber Boot for Teleflex Tilt Helm Steering
When I found that result I was using the SAFARI browser. Perhaps my browser history influenced the results of just typing that text string into the destination window.
Search string results can vary significantly depending on the exact terms used in the search argument.
Ultimately, to find a replacement part still available is a good outcome. And I guess the price is palatable, given how expensive everything has become in the last three years. I find that coaxial connectors I used to get for $2.50 are now $6.
