Length of fill hose and vent hose for 2007 Dauntless 180

Postby Tony's Legacy » Mon Jul 17, 2023 2:09 pm

[I plan to] replace the [fuel tank inlet filler] hose and vent hose on my [2007–ALWAYS USE FOUR DIGITS FOR YEAR] 180 DAUNTLESS.

I've looked over the diagrams at

(https://www.bostonwhaler.com/content/da ... t-2007.pdf)

to see what I need, but it says to refer to drawing 01-251 for individual hose lengths. The problem is that I can't find that drawing.

Q1: [IMPUTED QUESTION] what are the lengths [and diameter and necessary USCG APPROVALS] needed for the fuel tank filler hose and the fuel tank vent hose?

Thanks

It is not published.

You need to pull the hose to get the exact length or overestimate. Run a garden hose over the deck to simulate path.

Thanks for the info. I'll end up estimating because I want to use the old hose to help pull the new hose through.

Murphy’s Law corollary: any rubber fuel hose bought cut-to-length will be too short.

Tie a "pull string" to the old hose before pulling it out to measure it. Use the string to pull the new hose into position.
