NMEA-2000 Load Equivalency Number or LEN

Postby jimh » Mon Sep 19, 2016 8:01 am

Here is a short list of some popular NMEA-2000 products and their power load equivalency number or LEN. A unit of one LEN is equal to 0.050-Amperes or less of power consumed from the network, rounded up. A device that consumes 0.051-Ampere would be LEN =2. Information is taken from various manufacturer literature and from NMEA.ORG's website. The NMEA list is only for NMEA-2000 certified products.

EVINRUDE E-TEC
According to Evinrude's service manual literature, all E-TEC engines with a NMEA-2000 port on their EMM have a LEN of 1.
