Very nice motor and boat Maverick. Noting like getting to the bottom of the boat to refurbish it.

Warren that is a great slide show you published via the link above.
Especially the picture numbers 12, 30, 39, 40, 47, 85, and 88 of 93.
I love the number 40 with the boat in the trough.
It almost looks like the photographer was in the water with the 12, 30, 39 & 47 shots. How were those taken (we know he wasn't in the water)?

The other Whaler: It's a 1991 Revenge 25 Walk-Through with twin Evinrude 150-HP engines. These images were shot in the Benjamin Island group of the North Channel region of Ontario. Specifically, one in Porcupine Island harbor and the other in the north bay of North Benjamin, in 2010.

The swells in the Pacific Ocean around Northern California sometimes (most times) are 5-10 feet...so easy to photograph other boats when they are in the trough as your boat is on the top. :-)

My second BW, refurbished myself. 1982 Sport 15. 2005 Yamaha F60, Bobs Machine 5 in 1 manual jack plate. About 400 hours when sold to my neighbor for $8500! Ten years, lost about 4 Grand!!! Not a bad return. Boat was Porshe on the water!
Currently constructing a 1988 Sport 15, converting from traditional side consul to center, including a custom rigging tube, tilting consul, mini leaning post and 18 gallon fuel custom aluminum fuel cell. For sale this spring.

1986 Montauk at our camp on Cow Island in Lake Winnipesaukee. There are 260+ islands on this lake...I think I've hit all of them. Anyway, we bought "Cub's Tub" in Oregon and trucked her across country behind our 1970'ish Jeep Grand Cherokee. Rides like a brick and could use a restore but I still get complements towing her home...about the boat, that is.

Re: Show Us Your Whaler
This is my (dad's) 16-footer. It's a 1970 with a 1969 Bearcat, 1970 Gator trailer. Receipt just says 16-foot with reversible pilot seat. Dad built the forward deck using redwood and a neighbor's Sakonnet as a template. The boat was sold a few years back for a year to a guy in Virginia (thus the reg numbers), but he sold it back to me and my siblings. Other than the year in Virginia it has lived life on the Detroit River and Lake Erie out of Trenton, Michigan, and on the Antrim County, Michigan chain of lakes, where it now resides and is pictured on the hard. Sorry, no good recent on the water pics.

My SUPER SPORT 15
My new Christmas gift or toy or project: a 1984 SUPER SPORT 15 with 1992 Yamaha 70-HP. The boat needs some TLC. I have new wheel and other items coming and will update as I move along. The engine is dialed-in and runs fantastically. I am excited to join the Whaler club--first time owning one.

Re: Show Us Your Whaler
I was looking for a bare hull to fix up and I found this beat up 1985 Sport 15 for a pretty good price. I replaced the drain tubes with stainless steel, patched about a million screw holes, and painted the inside with polyurethane, decks with anti-skid granules added. Outer hull is original, compounded, and waxed. I built a hinged aft deck to cover the gas tanks, add storage, and to provide some seating/standing room. The console is a small Todd unit that doesn't take up much room and I fit all the wiring inside. Flip back cooler seat is comfy and is great dry storage. I already had a 1993 Evinrude 48SPL and it is perfect for this boat- plenty of speed yet sips gas. The battery and flare box are under the hinged front swivel seat box. Front railing is new, sides are from a 17 footer. I use the front anchor locker for a fish live well because it drains under way and fills at rest. Thank you to this site for everything I know about Whalers. This boat performs better than I ever imagined and is my favorite fishing boat ever!

Wow, that's an admirable set up. Perfect small no nonsense console. What is the aft deck made of? It looks like Star Board or is someone a fiberglass wizard? Gas tanks and battery out of the way. Excellent use of space, and you can stand/sit on it. NICE!

Thank you! The box is made of fiberglass. The floor has also been flattened out. I just added the fuel tank and (which used to be under the console) and the battery used to be in the box which is now empty and the battery is under the console. I have a custom made pad that covers the entire box and it supports more weight than the boat could handle. I love the setup on this boat I have not seen another one like it. Thanks for the reply

Re: Show Us Your Whaler
That's one fuel tank?!? I thought it was two- good placement up front- it will balance your weight. I love seeing the limited space on these great boats being maximized.
Re: Show Us Your Whaler
1992 Montauk 17 I just inherited from my Dad. He bought it new years ago. It has been sitting about 75 yards from beach surf all this time so I am doing some work to replace and fix a bit of rust here and there on both boat and trailer. I think this was his third trailer. Not sure what to do with wood - it is dry and grey but in good shape. He replaced the original Merc with a Yamaha 90TLR 2008. Motor runs like a top. Had it in lake last Saturday. Replaced water pump as maintenance.

Re: Show Us Your Whaler
I had new upholstery installed end of last summer. Pictures don't show too well. The logo is stitched into the back. This looks real nice. Also had a new cover made. This one covers from the front of the cooler to the back of the RPS. This is much better than the two covers I had.

This is my 1977 sport 15 sitting on the dock a few days after I bought her last summer July 2015. This is in Chatham, Cape Cod. The cushions (one is not in picture) were from my late grandfathers Eastport. His boat was sold over 25 years ago but he must have kept the cushion them and I found it in the garage and now they are coming in handy. The foam is a little funky but other than that in great shape, they dont make them like they use too!

1989 Outrage 22. A little dirty from living outside under a tree but definitely a conversation starter where ever I go. The pilot house is a BW design and sold through the commercial division, I modified it slightly by extending the roof line 18" and cutting the wrap around grab rail and then replacing them with two vertical grabs in the front and one in the back port side.

Here is my 1985 Boston Whaler Revenge 25 Walk-Through. The boat is powered by a 2013 Mercury 225 Pro XS, which does a nice job with the boat. Trailer is a Load Rite. The rig tows well behind my 1999 Suburban 2500 with 7.4-liter engine.
