What is your assessment of the selling price for the 1972 SOURPUSS 13 located in Houston, Texas, that is described in the narrative and illustrations below below and also shown in photographs at

This 1972 SOURPUSS 15 has its original wood components that were stripped, sanded, and refinished in c.2007, and they now are starting to show wear. There is some damage to the wood on the console's board where a battery leaked [acid].
The [cockpit floor] has spider cracks, but I don't think they are any different than [they were] in 2005.
The hull side has a crack, but it does not extend past the hull chine, and I think it is just a cosmetic defect.
There are original cushions that are faded.
The boat trailer is quite rusty, but not rotten.
The outboard engine is a 1972 Evinrude [of unspecified horsepower but in a photograph shown elsewhere looks like a 25-HP model] that has not been run since some time prior of 2015.

Re: APPAISAL: 1972 SOURPUSS 13 in Texas
A significant loss in possible value at sale is the inability of the engine to be shown to be in working condition. On that basis I would have to assess the engine value as very low.
Also, the engine does not appear to have any method of remote steering or remote engine shift and throttle controls. The engine appears to be a pull-start model and may not have power tilt and trim.
Because the boat is intended to be steered remotely and the engine is intended to be controlled remotely, the complete absence of any remote steering or remote shift and throttle controls significantly reduces the overall value.
Finding the appropriate mechanical cables for steering and mechanical and electrical cables for remote shift and throttle operation for the Evinrude engine--which is of an unknown model year--could be difficult.
The trailer does not look particularly ready for the road, so moving the boat will be difficult. Again, the value of the trailer is very low.
If the boat and engine were fully installed and rigged for remote steering and control from the helm, and if the engine could be shown to run and work properly, much more value would be added to the boat-engine-trailer package
The hull appears to be in decent condition. The SOURPUSS model is certainly a step up from the basic boat or the SPORT model.
The hull could sell for $1,000 without much further work.

Jim—thanks for taking a look.
I do have the parts to connect the steering cables to the motor.
I think it was typical to get [the engine] started and adjust throttle with the tiller handle, then use steering wheel for cruising. That’s what we always did.
