The concept of taking a survey of readers to see if any hold knowledge is really antithetical to the purposes of the forum and website. The forum and website collect information about Boston Whaler boats, and they do not have an interest in assessing what percentage of visitors might already know certain facts about them.
The first sentence of a post cannot use a pronoun like “this” as a part of its inquiry, because until the writer mentions explicitly the topic, readers won’t be able to understand what “this” means. Further, the website prefers to avoid nebulous reference to the topic by pronouns because they reduce the article’s search score. No one would ever search for the term “this” to find information on what is the actual topic of this thread.]
