Trailer Hitch Drawbar with Height Adjustment and Scale

Recently I noticed a vehicle with an unusual height-adjustable hitch drawbar assembly. There was no trailer attached so I could get some good pictures of it:

I just spent an hour browsing the WEIGH-SAFE.COM website. They have many very innovative and interesting hitches and towing accessories at very reasonable prices:

There is a great deal of information on the website, and it would be pointless to try to summarize it here. It is a well designed website showing many innovative towing products.

After reading about the Weigh-Safe height-adjustable drawbar, their instructions specify that there must be 11-inches clearance to ground from the bottom of the vertical adjustment bar. I didn't measure the one illustrated above, but in the picture the vertical clearance looks like it might be just 11-inches, if that. The length of the vertical part of the drawbar can be changed when ordering. Customers are advised to take measurements of the height above ground for their vehicle's hitch tube when the vehicle is loaded with the trailer, and then order the drawbar with the appropriate vertical length.
