2005 Conquest 305 Helm Switch Panel Lights Out

Postby keyofthesea » Sun Jun 05, 2016 10:46 pm

[ON a 2005 Boston Whaler 305 CONQUEST] the navigation lights work properly, but the lights on the switch panel are out. I took a look behind the panel and couldn't figure out if there's a bulb to change. How does this system works? Your suggestion will be very appreciated.

The wiring diagram for a 2005 Boston Whaler 305 CONQUEST is published on-line by Boston Whaler at:

http://whalerparts.com/Diagrams/2005/30 ... df#page=34

There is no circuit shown in the schematic diagram with the legend "Switch Panel LIghts". Please identify the what circuit you are asking about.

If you are asking about some internal illumination circuit in the many switches, the lamps for those lights are inside the switches. If all the switches have lost their internal illumination, the only common circuit is the lamp ground circuit. This circuit consists of a series of sort jumpers from switch to switch when eventually goes to a ground bus connection. If that circuit is not connected to ground then all switch illumination will be affected.

Thanks for your research. All switches light up when activated individually. Im referring to the light panel below the switches that identify each by name. When you operate the Navigation light's switch to its second position it turns on all nav. lights as well as the panel lights. Its the panel lights that are not coming on anymore...
