Argo Nav on Panbo

Postby Jefecinco » Mon Sep 28, 2026 10:13 am

Panbo.com recently updated information on Argo Nav with information that it puts US Army Corps of Engineers Surveys on the chart. As many continuouswave followers are primarily inland boaters the Panbo article may be worth reading. There is a free version of the app.

The problem with an "app" for the Apple iOS system is my Apple iPad Pro does not have its own GNSS receiver. This really limits its usefulness as a marine navigation application.

Of course, my Apple iPhone does have a GNSS receiver, but it the screen is not large enough to be useful for boat navigation. Also the screen brightness is not the best for viewing in direct sunlight.

If you try the free iOS app, please report on how you found it as a boat navigation tool.

Sorry Jim, due to my age and physical limitations we are no longer boaters. Perhaps having the ability to study and, possibly, print Corps of Engineers Charts may be of some use to our inland boaters.
