Q1: what are these rubber components called?
Q2: where can replacement parts be purchased?
The hatch lid latch works as follows:
- the left piece or "plunger" is made of hard rubber and is mounted to the underside with a machine screw, with the screw threading into a lock nut in the plunger
- the right piece is a cup made of soft rubber that mounts to the hull using a sheet metal screw and large fender washer.
- when the hatch lid is closed, the left plunger enters the right cup and is retained by a ring that grips the groove around the plunger
I have not been successful searching online for information about these two components of the hatch lid latch mechanism.
