The REFERENCE article on the 16/17 hull lists four different weights. Each weight is for a different model and different production era. There is no weight listed for a c.1960 KATAMA 16. The KATAMA production began in 1969.

I plan to move the boat on a trailer, so knowing the actual weight is important to me.

Hull weights are known to vary. If you believe that you need to know the precise hull weight of your particular hull in order to select the proper trailer, you should weigh the actual hull you have. An early model KATAMA from c.1969 could be about 55-years old, and its hull weight could be far from the original weight when it left the factory due to some accumulation of water in the foam interior of the Unibond hull.
