Q1: is [the bow stop assembly shown in Figure 1] okay [to use with a Boston Whaler boat]?

I bought a local Croatian brand (Berkinovac) boat trailer that is a bunk-type per a Boston Whaler recommendation. The bow [stop] assembly has given away and the manufacturer now only produces a roller assembly for the bow. I recall that Boston Whaler does not recommend rollers.

The bow stop assembly seen in Figure 1 is good to use with a Boston Whaler boat.

The notion that Boston Whaler boat trailers should not have rollers refers to the use of multiple "floppy" rollers to support the weight of the hull.

A bow stop with rollers is not really supporting any hull weight, it is just there to stop farther forward movement of the boat on the trailer.

That style of bow roller with the outside rollers aka "cow bell" or "ears" is preferred in my opinion.

It offers better protection when loading in snotty conditions where the bow is moving side to side.
