Plans for wood interior 1982 15' Whaler

Postby tomneill » Sat Aug 27, 2016 1:29 pm

Good morning all - I am a new member of continuouswave. Just bought a 1982 15' whaler, which I think is the standard model. Does anyone know if I can find the plans for re-building the interior wood components of this model (console, seats, side rails, etc.)? Any assistance would be appreciated!

Are you sure you have a 15 STANDARD?

They don't have wood interiors. It sounds like you have a 15 SPORT.

Compare at

The thwart seats are made from 5/4 planks.

Do you have the originals?

My bad - as you can tell, I am brand new to Whalers, although I have wanted one for 40 years. I stand corrected - I do have the sport.

I do have all the original wood that is still on the boat, and it is 5/4 mahogany. I will most likely use what is in the boat for a template, but was curious if plans existed, including some of the modifications I have seen online - for example, different configurations of a back for the rear seat, storage box on the back, etc.

Thanks for putting up with a "newbie"!
