Below is an advertisement from c.1978 created by Boston Whaler for the SPORT 13 boat that I found on the web:

I have often said that a 13-foot Boston Whaler boat is a great boat to have for the use of younger boaters. The boat is unsinkable and more or less indestructible. This is the unstated theme of the advertisement.

The only problem with buying a new 1978 SPORT 13 from Boston Whaler for your kids to use: it cost more than four years of college did in the 1970's.
