From what metal was the Norman Pin made as seen on a 1988 SUPER SPORT 15?

[The Norman pin on a 1988 SUPER SPORT 15] was bronze.

The metal bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. It has excellent corrosion resistance and is often used in marine fittings due to its high strength

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and has good corrosion resistance, but it is more malleable than bronze. Brass would not be a good choice for a norman pin, but it is excellent for decorative objects.
