I just purchased a 1993 Boston Whaler RAGE with the under-console jet drive. Having purchased the boat from a consignment dealer, he was no help in telling me anything about the boat.
The only drain hole I can find (besides the [cockpit drains] at the stern of the boat) is a hole directly under the engine. I cannot find anything about this hole in the owner's manual I found online. Upon inspection of the hole under the engine I found no drain plug. It is now starting to drip water since the temperatures this week have been above freezing in the Midwest.
Does this hole require a drain plug? There was not one in it when I purchase the boat.
1993 RAGE Drain Hole Under Engine
Re: 1993 RAGE Drain Hole Under Engine
I doubt that a through-hull drain in the middle of the boat along the center line would be left open. The drain is clearly below the water line. If left open when the boat is in the water, its function would not be a drain but a hole in the hull for seawater to enter the hull and flood the interior engine compartment space.
It seems odd that there is no mention of the drain in the owner's manual. Contact Boston Whaler customer service to get more advice.
If you have a 1993 RAGE, I presume it is a 13-footer. Can you give the URL for the owner's manual you cite.

The link given for the manual is the same manual as can be retrieved from the linked resource in the REFERENCE section.

yes the drain hole is under the engine. use a screw in plug and do not forget to take it out or ----- well your engine compartment will fill up with water
