I unscrewed the right hand throttle housing on my 1989 SPORT [of unspecified length]. Getting the screws out was difficult. When finally the screws were out, I think the three nuts on the inside of the fiberglass wall must have fallen off.
[I am] now trying to attach back the housing. There are no captive nuts on inside. I cannot reach up inside with my hands to get the nuts in the cavity.
[I am] thinking about some way to reattached the throttle to wall.
[Do readers have] any ideas?
1989 SPORT Reinstall Remote Control Housing
Re: 1989 SPORT Reinstall Remote Control Housing
In 1989 a Boston Whaler boat was probably not fitted with an engine by Boston Whaler. The boat may have been pre-rigged at the factory with rigging for a certain brand. Or the dealer could have done all the engine rigging. For those reasons, there is no basis for readers to know what sort of engine and rigging your boat has.
What brand of engine and remote controls does your 1989 Boston Whaler boat have?
What is the length of your 1989 Boston Whaler boat?
Are the remote controls side-mounting or top \-mounting controls?
Where are the remote controls mounted?
What are the remote controls mounted to?
What is the "fiberglass wall" you mention?
