Source for OEM Replacement Combined Sidelight Navigation Lamp

Postby Will » Mon Jun 12, 2023 10:36 am

Q1: what is a source for an OEM combined sidelights navigation lamp mounted at the bow of my 1991 19 Outrage?

Q2: is the PERKO lamp seen below an exact fit or close-to-exact fit?

BACKSTORY
While trying to repair the wiring, a copper conduit (likely not what it is called) fell down into the hull.

Q3: is there a source for just replacement parts for the OEM lamp?

I want to keep the boat as original as possible so parts are my first choice.

Q4: where can I get a picture of the part I lost?

The part I lost is a small copper rectangle that connects the lamp to the wiring—clearly I am not an electrician. I could attempt to make a replacement for the part I lost.

The PERKO lamp might be useful. Not seeing exactly what you have now makes judging what will work as a replacement difficult.

1991 Outrage 19 Navigation Lamp Restoration

Postby Will » Tue Jul 18, 2023 8:05 am

[Started a second thread on same topic. The two threads have been merged.]

On my 1991 OUTRAGE 19 the [sidelights lamp (or lamps) and white all-round lamp] are not illuminating. The cause of this problem appears to be with the internal lightbulb housing [socket] and the way the [lightbulb] is held in place, and also due to corrosion and age.

[Implied question]
Q1: are the original parts for the navigation lamps on a 1991 OUTRAGE 19 available?

Q2: is there a person or company that can restore these lamps if I send them to them?

In order to know exactly which type of navigation lamps you need to get replacement parts for, please show readers a photograph of each lamp. SECOND REQUEST TO YOU TO SHOW WHAT LAMPS YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT.
