HARPOON 4.6: Centerboard Uphaul-DownHaul Problem

Q1: is it possible for the tendency for the uphaul and downhaul lines on the centerboard pulley [block] to fall off the sheave on a HARPOON 4.6 boat to be remedied, and if a remedy is possible, what vendor can provide it?

I have never had a problem with the pulleys on the [centerboard] uphaul and downfall on my HARPOON 5.2 boat.

If the sheaves in the pulleys wobble, that could be [a cause of the line coming off them]. I think they [unclear] just lift out of the centerboard box, at least they look like the would on my HARPOON 5.2

The tendency for the lines to fall off the sheaves of a block is probably a result of wear. Perhaps replacement of the sheaves or the whole block would be a remedy.

I doubt there is a particular artisan who specializes in remedies for problems in the rigging of a HARPOON 4.6 that could be hired to provide a remedy that would just happen to be local to your unknown location.

If there is a large sailing community in your unknown location, there probably is a local firm that sells sailboat rigging. If such a local firm exists in your unknown location, you should consult with the riggers that work there for advice and for possible replacement parts.
