Late in December 2015 the Digital Yacht company of the United Kingdom announced their model AQUA COMPACT PRO marine computer. The AQUA COMPACT PRO is designed to be powered from 12-Volt DC sources. It has a modern INTEL i3 processor with 8-GByte of RAM and a solid-state 120-Gbyte storage volume. It is sold bundled with Windows 10 64-bit OS with options to downgrade to legacy versions, and LINUX is an option. There are DisplayPort and Mini-HDMI monitor outputs. The physical size of the AQUA COMPACT PRO is quite small at roughly 2-inches high and about 4-1/2-inches square. Wireless connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth is provided. There is an Ethernet connection and four USB-3 ports. The MSRP is US-$1,295.
To integrate the AQUA COMPACT PRO to boat NMEA-0183 devices, a separate and outboard USB-to-NMEA adaptor is necessary, the AQUA MUX100 USB NMEA INTERFACE.

Digital Yacht Announces AQUA COMPACT PRO
Re: Digital Yacht Announces AQUA COMPACT PRO
Integration of the AQUA COMPACT PRO into a boat navigation system can be facilitated with the Digital Yacht GPS and GLONASS receiver with direct USB connection. The GPS150 USB DualNav GPS/GLONASS sensor can provide 10-Hz position update rates from both the USA GPS and Russian GLONASS systems. See

The MSRP is $260.
(I suspect the USA prices may be quite high because it was probably based on the price in Euro currency when the exchange rate was not very favorable to conversion to US-dollars. At today's currency conversion, this price is very much higher than the equivalent price in Euro currency.)
