Give me a source for 90-degree bend fitting used on the corner of a Boston Whaler hull at the transom, as shown in the image below.
BACK STORY.
On my REVENGE the transom corner rub rail is sharp and cuts through a tarpaulin. I think I could use a PVC pipe 90-degree elbow fitting cut in half to remedy this problem.

Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
I don't think those 90-degree metal rub rail caps are OEM with Boston Whaler.
Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
Most pad the corners for the tarp.
I bought a pool noodle,
For each corner:
Cut two (2) pieces that are 1 foot long.
Cut one end of each at a 45 angle.
Position both so they form a 90 degree.
Slice each on the inside wall, [half] way through.
Install on corner, stretching them over the rub rail
Install tarp.

Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
Thanks Jim,
Hi Phil,
By reading, I can't picture exactly how you did it, sorry. Do you have any pic on hand to post it here?
Thank Phil.

Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
PHIL--can you give a source for a Pool Noodle?
Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
This will work and is not stocked seasonally. Already slit.

Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
I may have some of the pipe foam insulation on my shelves. I understand about the cutting across 90 and 45 degrees.
What I am not clear is: "Slice each on the inside wall, [half] way through". What do you mean by "[half] way through". Do you slide and cut the tube into half, along the length? How does it stay on? Do you have to use glue to keep it on?

Re: Source for Rub Rail Corner Fitting
Once you pull it open like a C you can see if it will stay on by itself.
Given the size of the corner hardware, I will guess it will NOT stay on by inself.
I would attach the tarp and bungie it down and then attach the noodles. The tarp will hold them in place.
