What caulk should be used to reseal [joints between panels on] the deck on a 1990 19 OUTRAGE?
I plan to remove the old caulk and put down a new seal. From what I can tell, if [the old caulk] were silicone, I should stick with silicone.

While your deck appears white, it is actually Desert Tan color.
You should detail the deck to remove the mold, oxidation, and residue prior to installing the sealant.
OSI Quad color #450 is a color match to the gel coat.
Take a look at this prior discussion:

OSI Quad color #450 is not carried in many stores. I ordered OSI Quad color #450 on-line for delivery to my local Home Depot.

PHIL T--thank you.
I just ordered a couple of tubes [presumably tubes of the caulk recommended earlier in the discussion, OSI Quad color #450].

Let us know how [the replacement of the gray caulk and the match of the new caulk to the deck gel coat color] turns out.

Re: Caulk for c.1990 19 OUTRAGE
I do not recall seeing a Boston Whaler boat in which the caulk used between deck panels was in a contrasting color to the deck panels. On that basis, I suspect that the caulk on the c.1990 OUTRAGE boat seen above in Figures 1 and 2 is not the original caulk.
The gel coat color is probably Desert Tan, although the deck has some dirt on it as seen in Figures 1 and 2, and judging color hue is always difficult from photographic images due to the effect on color perception by the illuminating light.
If the gray caulk now on the boat were silicone, I would expect that it would allow the old beads to be peeled away from the gel coat surfaces in long and elastic strings. The human thumb nail is often a scraping tool of the perfect hardness to remove silicone caulk from gel coat without causing marks in the gel coat surface.
Whether only a silicone caulk MUST be used to replace a prior silicone remains to be establish.
As a general rule when replacing old caulk that has become inflexible and cracked, removal of all the old caulk in preferred before new caulk is applied, and particularly when the new caulk may be of a different formulation than the old caulk. A thorough cleaning, washing, and drying of the joint surfaces before applying new caulk ought to prevent any problems if there were an incompatibility between the new caulk and existing caulk that is to be replaced.

I believe that the OSI caulk being discussed is OSI QUAD Beige 450 Window, Door and Siding Sealant 10-Fluid Ounce Cartridge (1636981). This product is sold on-line at Amazon for about $18 per tube. See
https://www.amazon.com/OSI-Sealant-10-F ... B013LS91Q6
Note that the time to a full cure is listed as seven to 14 days. This caulk is very slow curing.
The product data sheet is available from the manufacturer's website at:
https://dm.henkel-dam.com/is/content/he ... 2018-08-14
The color matching web page is located at
https://wheretobuy.ositough.com/quadmax ... ference.pl
The notion that color #450 is the best match to Desert Tan seems presumptive. There are several other hues that are very close matches. It may be that color #450 is most easily ordered.
Whether the OSI Quad sealant is a silicone product remains to be established.

Re: Caulk for c.1990 19 OUTRAGE
The recommendation of color #450 being a complementary match for Desert Tan gel coat comes from five owners who did field testing on their boats and independently recommended this color for OSI Quad sealant.
There will never be a 100% match for Desert Tan gel coat since there was color deviation in the production line. Computer-aided measurement and formulation were not in existence.

Re: Caulk for c.1990 19 OUTRAGE
What Phil has said I interpret as follows: five owners of Boston Whaler boats with Desert Tan deck gel coat used color #450 and found it to be a good match to their boat's gel coat color.
I do not think anyone has purchased the four or five other colors close in hue to #450 and then tested all of those color variations against Desert Tan gel coat color in pristine condition to assess which of the many "beige" variations was the best match.
However, that said, I am very confident that color #450 is going to be a much better match than the gray sealant shown in the illustrations above.

I don't think anyone can disagree with this statement.
