I am studying the Montauk boats and have learned somethings. I am curious though as to what was the first year the wood trim was eliminated on the Montauk.

My '97 catalog shows the teak option on the Montauk and I believe it was not available in '98. Don

Our 91 anniversary edition has no wood

I believe 1993 was the very last year you get the "Classic" Montauk. (this is not my wording - the BW people to differentiate between the new plexiglass trimmed models).
This was also the last year of the teak consoled classic outrages (22 & 25), so evidently Whaler closed down it's wood operations around that time.
