Folks - Over one month ago I placed an order with the Classic Whaler Owners' Assoc. for a complete set of back issues. My phone calls only ever find a answering machine and I have left messages. I have tried emailing as well, also to no avail. Does anyone know if this is typical? Is the Association defunct? Thanks, Justin

Jim Knight at the Classic Whaler Society is a pretty busy guy. Try e-mailing him, there's a link to his e-mail at the Whaler home page. He's a walking encyclopedia of classic info, and I think he also has an old Menemsha. Good luck. ---Dennis |

Justin,I subscribed to his magazine about a year and a half ago... It usually arrives late, but it usually arrives. For the money, its worth it. I understand that Jim Knight has a day job with the State of N.C. - so be patient - it'll get there... Also, I think I read where he was way behind on filling orders from the website and wanted folks to place orders on his answering machine... Chris. |

I sent a request to join, info, etc.. about a year ago (and duplicated it since) and never heard back from Mr. Knight. What kind of info does the magazine have in it? Rex |

Rex, the mag has a lot of great info. in it on classic whalers. Mr. Knight is very busy and indeed is hard to get in touch with. I spoke with him about a year ago and yes, he knows his whalers. He is looking help with the mag. the last I recall. There is a big demand for the whaler issue. I would suggest keep tring. He will eventually answer any question you may have. Tim |
