Im tryin to find out what kinda whaler my uncle has.On the registration card it says its an 18' Boston Whaler. When he measured it it same to 19.5ft so im guess thats the LOA.It looks just like a 16ft extended about 2.5 to 3ft and a little wider. He didnt tell me what year it is which would of helped alot but it has to be pretty old with that hull design.I looked up and down this web site but i found nothin like it.Is it an old outrage or something?Any ideas? Thanks

Easy, sounds like he has the original 19 Outrage which is 19'4" LOA! Made from 1972 through 1979 or 80!! Great boat (I've owned two) and can be identified by a short foredeck with anchor locker on top and lazarette underneath. Center console is from a Montauk and starting in about 1973 or 74 had a built in 40 gal tank under the deck! This hull, without the added on upper piece (which included the anchor locker etc) was the basis for the elusive 19 "Low Profile" model.. I am searching for a 19'5" hull from which to make a low profile custom! There are some photos of Don McIntyre's 19 on the web but can't lead you as I have lost the site... Others may have more info. for you! happy Whalin'.. clark

You can check to see if it's a 19 Outrage by going to page 18 in the Cetacea Section. Jim's developing a pretty good picture gallery here. The Photo Log is great for finding a particular model of interest.

I did see that 19 outrage before i posted this topic on the forum but i didnt recognize cause of that thing extends sides. What is that?My uncle's boat is just the bare hull with a homemade wood console and a old 3cyl 70hp yamaha.Im suprise the 70hp pushes the boat over 35mph and the speed hardly drops with 4 people and gear.He wants to sell it to me cause hes getin a little old know but i dount no.
Well thanks for the help-
Easy E
