Recently purchased the "Mid-Atlantic Waterway Guide 2001" by Intertec Publishing. I'm impressed with the content and quality of the material. Anyone interested in cruising the ICW should have a copy of this book.Information on the waterway even includes shoaling information as recent as summer of 2000. A bit pricey for me at $40, but a worthwhile addition to the library. Joe

John, There's plenty of detail in the text, but the chart excerpts they use leave a little to be desired. They probably serve the author's purpose, but you would, of course, still need current charts. |

Thanks again, Joe-I'll be down (over?) in the Savannah/Tybee Island area in early April with my boat, and am trying to get well charted and informationed before I get there - I appreciate your input. Tom Zeno has put me onto an IC Waterway chartbook that covers Norfolk, VA to Jacksonville, FL that I have ordered. It is even pricier than the one you have, but it sounds like it will have the charting I want. I should see it in a couple of days, and if it still doesn't do what I need, there are some NOAA charts in the new West Marine catalog that will. And if that doesn't work, I guess it's the string and lead sinker routine! John |
