Per Boating Industry News(6/6/01): It seems Brunswick has come to terms in selling the Robalo line of boats. Apparently, the line stopped production in January and the new owners will begin production in the 4Q of this year.

Robalo sales had fallen off to nothing, and it probably didn't make much sense for maintaining a competing brand with Boston Whaler. |

I wasn't aware that Robalo was in such tough times. I've always admired the quality of construction. I guess that shows the retreat from quality by the buying public. Any one know how the other 'quality' (Mako, HydraSport,Regulator, etc.) manufacturers are doing? We sometimes curse the new Whalers, but maybe the company has gotten a formula that works well with todays consumer better than the competition. |

I too didn't know that about Robalo. I have always liked them and Mako, but my preference is a Whaler. |
